FolderMill 5.3 is out now with a range of new features and improvements, including new OCR engine, printing in multiple-pages-per-sheet mode, simplified converting of Apple HEIC format images, and more.
What's new in FolderMill 5.3
- New Multiple pages per sheet mode: FolderMill now supports printing several pages on a single sheet of paper
- New Booklet printing mode for creating brochures or saddle-stitched booklets
- Enhanced OCR (Optical Character Recognition) with the newly integrated Tesseract OCR library
- Simplified conversion of HEIC (HEIF) images by installing the free-to-use ImageMagick application alongside FolderMill (as alternative to previously required paid codecs from the Microsoft Store)
- New {*DocUID} macro for Rename document Action allowing to assign a unique sequential number to a document within a session
- Convert to Image Action: Option to preserve the original image's color space for TIFF images
- Hot Folder Settings: New option to enable/disable automatic unpacking of RAR, ZIP, and 7ZIP archives
- Auto Portrait/Landscape option was replaced with a Page orientation dropdown menu
